Bushfire Victims Relief
Victorians are pulling out all stops to help fellow Victorians who have suffered as a result of the 'Hell on Earth' bushfires.
Donations of all kinds are pouring in but now there is a need to be a little more focused on what donations are best made. The following notices, posted as they arrive, provide an answer and address some of the immediate concerns.
Strathbogie Shire Council offers support to its neighbours
Strathbogie Shire Council has extended an offer of support and assistance to its neighbouring municipality Murrindindi Shire Council.
Strathbogie Shire Council has been inundated with calls from residents wanting to know what they can do to help the victims of the bushfires.
Mayor of Strathbogie Shire Council, Howard Myers said, “Strathbogie Shire Council is working hard to oordinate information, donated goods and resources. Wesley Hall in Euroa is open each week day from 12pm – 2pm and in the evening from 5pm – 7pm to accept donated goods.
The Nagambie Mechanics Institute will also be accepting goods Monday to Thursday 10am – 2pm and Friday and Saturday 10am -12pm. Please phone 03 5794 1754 to register. The Nagambie CFA will also take goods 7 days a week from 9.30 am to 6pm.
In Violet Town contact Fran or Ken Byrne on 03 5798 1632 for donations of linen or Manchester only.
In Avenel the newsagency/Post Office is collecting donations (both financial and goods) during business hours.

Euroa Health Inc
Clean towels are urgently needed in the fire affected communities.
Donations can be left at Euroa Hospital or the Op Shop in Binney Street.

Looking after pets
Donations of pet food, blankets, bowls, cat cages, leads, collars and any other pet supplies that you may have can be given to the following vet clinics:
- Benalla Vet Clinic,
- Euroa Vet Clinic ,
- Warby Street Vet Clinic and
- Shepparton Vet Clinic
Staff at these clinics will then get the supplies to all the people and pets in need.

Mitchelton Collection Point
Mitchelton Wines, in association with Linfox Transport and Swettenham Stud are staging a collection point for drop off of goods required for Bushfire relief at:
Mitchelton Winery (outside Cellar Door), Mitchellstown Road, Nagambie during the following times.
12pm - 7pm Friday 13th February; 9am - 3pm Saturday 14th February
Goods required: Bedding, baby clothing, toys, clothing, shoes, tinned food, pharmacy/toiletries.
There will also be collection tins and fundraising activities at the Mitchelton Moonlight Cinema.
