Nalinga Steel is one of the largest steel distributors in Rural Victoria and Southern N.S.W.

Located at Nalinga (between Shepparton and Benalla) on the Midland Highway, we stock a large range of First and Downgrade Steels, cut to order and delivered to your door.

Nalinga Steel can supply you with a great range of strong durable sheds, buildings and carports to your custom size,  or one of our current standard frame sizes.

Nalinga Steel commenced small-scale operations in 1985, supplying Roofing and Steel to those ‘in the know’. Goods were mostly delivered direct from our suppliers and very little stock was held. However, word soon spread about good value and good service, and business steadily increased. Stocks started to build and soon small saws, forklifts and trucks were purchased. Deliveries largely replaced ‘own pickup’ and extra staff  were employed to keep up with demand.

In 1992 we purchased the old Nalinga Service Station site on the corner of the Midland Highway and Violet Town Road, just 300 meters from our existing yard. This allowed for the construction of a purpose built warehouse with overhead travelling crane and racking to store all the 1st grade stock and to house the Bandsaw and Punch and Shear. This building was extended in 2000 and again in 2004.

In June 1993, Nalinga Steel and Roofing Supplies Pty Ltd was registered as a company. We persisted through a major flood in that same year and then ensuing years of drought. Our staff numbered 4 at that time and has now grown to 7 full time, with others on subcontract.

Today the company remains family owned and operated, and our focus has not altered – to supply our clients with what is required at the best possible price in as short a time as possible, remembering that all orders are important to the customer regardless of the quantity.
