When long-time Violet Town residents Lou and Gary Abley decided to take over the former Violet Town Milk Bar, they saw potential. It was an opportunity to combine business with pleasure - and to fulfill a long-held dream.

Their dream was to work together to provide a friendly, welcoming café serving high quality, well presented food that would appeal to both local residents and travelers passing through the pretty little town.

The Violet Town Café attracts not only travellers who happen to be passing through - but people are detouring out of their way to enjoy burgers and cake, amongst other delights.

Not to mention the coffee! They aim for nothing less than perfection in the art of coffee making. They use only freshly ground beans and would rather throw out a less-than-perfect cup than serve it.
