Community House

The Community House is an inclusive and responsive community organisation providing a diverse range of exciting programs and activities for the community.

Community House organises activities for Violet Town and district residents including running Food Share every second Wednesday for financially stressed members of the community, art classes, carpentry classes for women, pizza making at the Violet Town Market, organising live theatre performance, and organising the Haunted House for the Nightmare on Cowslip St street festival

A current major project is developing a community arts and garden space in the unused tennis courts behind the Uniting Church.

Various community groups also use the space for music, therapy and arts activities.

It has in place policies in regard to fees and concessions. The Community House Management Committee meets on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the meeting room.
